The KU Leuven Summer of Science is a summer camp for curious high school students. They get to explore some of the most fascinating topics in modern science – from the origins of the universe to the building blocks of life, quantum theory, and mathematical patterns.
This summer, the third edition took place over two weeks, from 28 July – 1 August and 4 August – 8 August, both sessions with a hundred participants.
The KUL team engaged and explained the scanning probe microscopy-based research topics to the high school students. The Summer of Science is an opportunity to learn, sample, and perform science at a deeper level than what is achievable in high school.
The primary audience is Flemish high school students, complemented by students from international schools and even from abroad.
